What you will own
- Collaborate with the Quality Manager to deploy plant-wide Safety, Quality, and Efficiency initiatives aligned to robust policies and procedures.
- Translate customer complaints into data-driven failure analysis and effective corrective/preventive actions.
- Facilitate cross-functional problem identification and closure using 8D, 5-Why, fishbone, and process maps.
- Troubleshoot product and process issues; drive containment through sustainable fixes.
- Elevate the QMS via 5S, Kaizen, and lean methods.
- Oversee part qualification packages: First Article Inspection, Gage R&R, PFMEA, capability studies, control plans, and process validation.
- Build and communicate performance through quality metrics and dashboards.
- Advance supplier capability through validation and continuous improvement.
- Ensure prompt resolution of supplier failures with verified corrective and preventive actions.
- Define incoming inspection criteria for supplied materials.
- Execute and close Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs) and Vendor Quality Notices.
- Monitor external/internal process capability and implement upgrades.
- Deliver targeted Safety, Quality, Efficiency, and Cost improvement projects.
What you bring
- 2 years in Quality Engineering/Assurance or Continuous Improvement.
- 1 year in manufacturing (preferred).
- 1 year with ISO or IATF frameworks (preferred).
- Quality System Auditing, RCCA, Six Sigma fundamentals, and FMEA practice.
- Experience with control plans, PPAP, capability analysis, and SPC.
Education
BS in Quality, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management, or related; at least 1 year of relevant experience, or equivalent education and experience.
