Your impact
In this role, you'll co-create and execute plant strategies with the Quality Manager to raise Safety, Quality, and Efficiency. You'll be the catalyst who ensures processes and products meet rigorous engineering and quality expectations.
Key outcomes
- Customer trust: Analyze field and internal failures; implement robust corrective and preventive actions.
- Problem-solving excellence: Lead teams through issue identification, root cause analysis, and verified corrective actions using 8D, 5-Why, fishbone, and process maps.
- Stable processes: Diagnose product/process/production issues and implement lasting fixes.
- Stronger systems: Drive 5S, Kaizen, and lean initiatives that enhance our QMS.
- Launch readiness: Prepare and review qualification packages (FAI, Gage R&R, PFMEA, capability studies, control plans, process validation).
- Transparency: Monitor, analyze, report, and communicate quality metrics.
- Supplier excellence: Lead development and validation activities; improve supplier quality performance.
- Rapid recovery: Ensure timely supplier failure resolution with corrective and preventive actions.
- Right first time: Define incoming inspection needs for supplier materials.
- Accountability: Facilitate SCARs and Vendor Quality Notices to closure.
- Capability growth: Assess and improve internal/external process capability.
- Value creation: Identify and execute projects that advance Safety, Quality, Efficiency, and Cost.
What you need
- 2 years in quality engineering/assurance or continuous improvement.
- Manufacturing background (1 year preferred).
- ISO or IATF experience (1 year preferred).
- Proficiency in Quality System Auditing, RCCA, Six Sigma principles, and FMEA.
- Fluency with control plans, PPAP, capability studies, and SPC.
Education
Degree in Quality Assurance, Quality Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management, or similar with 1 year related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
