Duration: Contract (12 months with possible extension)

Salary: $35 - 45/hr on W2

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electronics Test Technician / Engineering Technician with 7 years of hands-on experience in electronic hardware testing, troubleshooting, repair, and validation. This role focuses on supporting developmental and production electronic systems by diagnosing technical issues, performing system-level testing, and ensuring reliable operation of electronic and electro-mechanical equipment. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of electronics, electrical circuitry, testing methodologies, and practical engineering principles.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, assemble, and configure electronic and electro-mechanical systems, components, and equipment.
• Perform functional, validation, and diagnostic testing on developmental and production hardware.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical, electronic, and mechanical issues at the component and system level.
• Repair, modify, and maintain electronic assemblies, equipment, and related products.
• Analyze technical problems using principles of electronics, electrical circuitry, engineering mathematics, and physics.
• Utilize test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and other diagnostic tools to identify root causes of failures.
• Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, technical drawings, and engineering documentation.
• Document test results, troubleshooting activities, repairs, and modifications.
• Support engineering and production teams in evaluating hardware performance and resolving technical issues.
• Ensure compliance with established testing procedures, quality standards, and safety requirements.

Required Qualifications

• 7 years of experience in electronics testing, troubleshooting, repair, or engineering technician roles.
• Strong understanding of:
• Electronics and electrical circuitry
• Electronic and electrical testing methodologies
• Mechanical engineering fundamentals
• Engineering mathematics and physics principles
• Experience troubleshooting electronic systems at both component and system levels.
• Proficiency using electronic test and measurement equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and root-cause investigation skills.
• Hands-on experience supporting development and/or production electronic hardware.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with developmental and production electronic systems.
• Background in electronics manufacturing, hardware testing, validation, or engineering laboratory environments.
• Experience supporting electro-mechanical systems and assemblies.
