Job Title: Tax Analyst
Duration: 12/01/2025 - 11/17/2027 plus possible extension
Location: Des Peres, MO 63131 (Hybrid)
Pay Rate: $75.00 - $78.21 hourly on W2
Duties: As a Tax Analyst, your role is to support the tax team in conducting in-depth analysis of tax-related data, interpret tax laws and regulations, and provide insights and recommendations to ensure accurate and compliant tax reporting within the organization.
CPA is highly Preffered.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all aspects of transaction tax compliance and research.
- Prepare transaction tax (sales/use, business & occupation, gross receipts, and property tax) returns for monthly, quarterly and annual filings.
- Research transaction tax issues. Interpret and comply with state, local and international statutes, regulations, and legislation.
- Prepare for, and assisting with, transaction tax audits.
- Prepare and/or review indirect tax filings.
- Provide guidance based on research of transaction tax laws and regulations.
- Assist with the reconciliation of transaction tax general ledger accounts.
- Develop and implement process improvements.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where attention to detail, analytical skills and strong communication skills are essential.
Qualifications:
- Accounting degree and 3 years of accounting experience, which includes tax experience
- CPA is preferred but not required
- Experience working with a lot of different tax forms and vouchers
- General ledger queries/reporting
- Intermediate Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and formulas
- Ability to work independently and effectively collaborate with team members
- Strong organizational skills
