Payroll Specialist

Title: Payroll Specialist(Hybrid)

Duration: 06 Months Contract Possibility of Extension

Location: Jersey City NJ USA

Pay Rate: $49.00 - $65.00 hourly on W2

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Perform payroll data analysis and reconciliation.
• Research and troubleshoot payroll issues.
• Analyze payroll data using Excel and Oracle reports.
• Support US multi-state payroll operations.
• Occasionally assist the international payroll team, but primary focus is US payroll.

Must-Have Skills

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
• Payroll experience, preferably using Oracle Payroll.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with data reconciliation and research.
• Good technical aptitude.
• Strong Excel skills (Intermediate required, Advanced preferred).

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud Payroll is strongly preferred.
• Any Oracle Payroll experience will also be considered.

Additional Hiring Manager Insights

• Looking for candidates who can independently solve problems and analyze payroll data.
• Strong emphasis on analytical thinking over processing high payroll volumes.
• Experience handling a large employee population is not required.
• Reporting and reconciliation are primarily completed using Excel and Oracle-generated reports.
