What are the responsibilities and job description for the AI/ML Observability Engineer position at Dexian?
Hybrid 3 days a week either in Plano, TX or Tampa, FL
- This team is the Observability Strategy Team
- Works closely with Infrastructure, SRE, Developer, and Architecture teams
- Collaborates on cross-functional initiatives and enterprise-wide observability solutions
- Hands-on AI/ML engineering to develop reusable models for anomaly detection
- Improve infinite management practices, system stability, and production reliability
- Translate use cases into reusable solutions for the enterprise
- Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Planning and developing AI/ML models for observability
- Collaborating with multiple teams to implement solutions
- Reviewing logs, metrics, KPIs, traces, and other telemetry data
- Modifying early-phase use cases to expand and generalize models
- Building reusable components to be deployed across applications
- Strong Python experience
- Experience in Observability or SRE-focused roles
- Comfortable working independently in a small, strategic team
- Experience with cloud environments
- Ability to take initiative and act as a subject matter expert in observability
- Experience with Grafana (preferred) or other observability tools like Splunk, Dynatrace
- Familiarity with OpenTelemetry
- Strong automation skills to build end-to-end observability solutions
