AML Investigation Analyst

Job Title: AML Analyst (SAR Writing & Investigations Required)
Location: New Castle, DE (Hybrid)
Duration: 6-Months with possible extension

We're hiring an AML Analyst with hands-on SAR writing and financial investigations experience. This role is ideal for candidates who have independently reviewed alerts, conducted AML investigations, and drafted Suspicious Activity Reports in a regulated banking environment.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  

  Review and investigate customer transactions for potential suspicious activity

  
  


• 
  

  Conduct AML investigations using internal bank systems, public records, and external databases

  
  


• 
  

  Analyze transactional data and financial statements to identify unusual patterns

  
  


• 
  

  Independently write and file Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) in compliance with regulatory requirements

  
  


• 
  

  Document findings, research, and conclusions in the case management system

  
  


• 
  

  Follow up with internal and external points of contact to support investigations

  
  


• 
  

  Recommend account retention or closure when required

  
  


• 
  

  Partner with internal compliance teams, business units, and law enforcement as needed

  
  

Required Qualifications

• 
  

  1-5 years of AML/BSA investigations experience

  
  


• 
  

  Strong SAR writing experience (required - resumes without SAR experience will not be considered)

  
  


• 
  

  Experience reviewing customer transactions and alerts for suspicious activity

  
  


• 
  

  Knowledge of BSA/AML regulations, including FinCEN SAR requirements and OFAC

  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• 
  

  CAMS certification

  
  


• 
  

  Experience working in banking or financial services environments

  
  


• 
  

  Familiarity with SEC, FINRA, FRB, and USA PATRIOT Act requirements
