We are seeking a detail-oriented, organized, proactive, motivated, and talented Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team at a boutique matrimonial & family law firm located in Putnam County just outside of Northern Westchester.
General Duties
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously and provide exceptional support to attorneys and clients alike.
- Conduct legal research and case management tasks using platforms such as LexisNexis and Westlaw.
- Draft and proofread legal documents, including stipulations, pleadings, motions, subpoenas, and correspondence.
- Manage case files, ensuring all documents are organized and accessible.
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate records of case progress.
- Review documents for relevance and accuracy in preparation for litigation or settlement negotiations.
- Provide executive administrative support, such as scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and handling phone communications with professionalism.
- Be directly involved in trial preparation and support to attorneys.
- Play a critical role in managing the workload and ensuring the smooth function of the firm's operations.
Experience
- Paralegal experience/legal administrative experience is required.
- Familiarity with document review processes and legal case management.
- Strong writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence.
- Proven ability to conduct thorough research and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work.
- Experience in clerical tasks such as filing and data entry.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in handling sensitive information.
Salary commensurate with experience.
Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
