The Marketing and eCommerce Coordinator has a multi-faceted role that supports our small but dynamic marketing team. The Coordinator collaborates on marketing campaigns and asset development as well as manages social media. The Coordinator generates product descriptions and images for the company’s eCommerce sites and provides customer support and troubleshooting. This role often leads cross-departmental special projects.Primary Responsibilities: MarketingWork closely with the marketing team to keep the company’s marketing calendar current and accessible to managersWork with the Director of Marketing and Graphic Designer on campaigns and asset developmentManage social media channels and collaborate with marketing team on contenteCommerce Generate, review, and finalize product descriptions in our ERP system for the company’s ecommerce sites.Add product images from the company’s internal resources and supplement with photography as needed.Serve as the primary contact for ecommerce customers, assisting with user access and troubleshooting login and order issuesEventsPlan and execute industry or company events such as lunch & learns or vendors for customer/employee appreciation lunchesSupport various projects to support the company as neededSupport additional tasks and projects as assigned by the Director of Marketing.Experience and other requirements: Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a wholesale or retail nursery, horticultural operation, or equivalent educational experience. Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred. Technology skills: Proficient with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Communication skills: Clear, patient, and confident when providing step by step assistance to customers, whether by phone or email. Able to write and edit horticultural content for a professional audience.Organizational skills: Able to maintain the marketing calendar and manage and make progress on multiple projects at the same time.Attention to detail: Review deliverables (like product descriptions) for accuracy and consistency across channels.Team player: Works with Marketing Team, Sales Team, Inventory Managers, Purchasing Department, and others as needed to ensure quality content and to provide excellent customer serviceTravel: Regular travel by car between company locations is required, including occasional overnight stays. A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to all assigned sites are required. Job Specifications: This is an “in office” position, no work from home option available. Must be able to remain in stationary position of either sitting or standing. Extensive typing and 10-key use required. Gross grasping and use of hands and fingers required. Will frequently work in both office and nursery yard and will experience outdoor weather conditions and uneven ground surfaces.
