Who We Are:    

Detroit Recovery Project, Inc. (DRP) is a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) that provides outpatient recovery support services for those with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. We treat the whole person through our integrated programs of primary medical and behavioral healthcare.   

   

Our program philosophy is rooted in developing a healthy recovery ecosystem for those seeking long-term recovery. Through strong therapeutic relationships with our clients, helping them to understand the underlying social and emotional issues that drive their substance use, the recovery ecosystem focuses on five key areas:

What we’re looking for:   

DRP is currently seeking a full-time Project Director. The Project Director is responsible for preparing interim and annual grant reports, and working closely with the Program Evaluator and program staff while establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with all grant stakeholders, including community partners, DRP staff, DRP Board of Directors and members of the community.

   

Compensation: The starting pay rate for this position is $60,000 per year and is based on non-discriminatory factors such as skills and experience. This is a salaried-exempt role that is ineligible for overtime compensation. 



   

The Ideal candidate will:

  • Thoroughly understand the terms and conditions of the program’s grants
  • Attend meetings and conferences as required for assurance of current knowledge and competence
  • Recruit, train, evaluate and provide direct supervision of program staff in conjunction with the Human Resources Department
  • Maintain continuous assessment and provide ongoing feedback to staff regarding their performance
  • Complete written performance evaluations for staff as required
  • Ensure compliance with the grant agreement, and all applicable federal, state, and other regulations listed in the grant award
  • Ensure adherence to protocols, policies, and procedures of DRP as well as the evidence-based intervention models for service planning and program implementation
  • Maintain records in a suitable format for audits
  • Provide supervision and guidance to the Project Coordinators
  • Can work independently and as a team member
  • Promote DRP’s vision, values, and services to all customers and stakeholders
  • Assist in maintaining organizational wide quality standards
  • Ensure all actions, job performance, personal conduct and communications represent the organization in a highly professional manner
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment
  • Completes other duties as requested or assigned


Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in guidance and counseling, psychology, social work, education, business or public health administration or related field.
  • Valid & unrestricted State of Michigan Driver’s License
  • Strong conflict resolution and decision-making skills
  • Administrative ability, experience in project coordination and supervision
  • Ability to prepare and interpret flowcharts, schedules, and action plans
  • Strong organizational skills, including multitasking and time management
  • Experience in project coordination and supervision
  • Experience coordinating training schedules and managing classroom environment
  • Experience in budget management and resource allocation
  • Ability to lead and motivate teams, foster a positive work culture, and drive employee engagement
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Teams, and AdobePRO
  • Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills
