Vehicle Body Designer (Catia V5 /V6)

Overview
We are seeking a talented and innovative BIW /Body Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical design and engineering, with proficiency in various design software and tools. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to create detailed designs, schematics, and technical documentation that meet project specifications and industry standards.

Duties

• Develop and produce detailed mechanical designs using software such as Catia ,AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, and MicroStation.
• Create and review schematics for system design projects, ensuring compliance with ASME codes & standards.
• Utilize Bluebeam and NavisWorks for project coordination and collaboration with other engineering disciplines.
• Conduct drafting and assembly tasks, including the preparation of technical drawings and documentation.
• Perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to validate design integrity and functionality.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure designs meet client requirements and project timelines.
• Engage in technical writing to produce clear documentation for design processes, specifications, and user manuals.
• Apply GD&T principles in the creation of mechanical components to ensure precision in manufacturing processes.
• Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback to enhance project outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is preferred.
• Proficiency in CAD software including Catia AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, Creo, Pro/ENGINEER, and Autodesk Inventor.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in mechanical engineering principles and practices.
• Familiarity with construction processes and system design methodologies is advantageous.
• Ability to produce high-quality 2D animations to illustrate complex concepts effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in drafting and design work.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration within a team environment.
