Job descriptionWe are looking for an experienced Administrative Assistant to support a manufacturing-focused team in Aiken, SC. This individual will play a key role in coordinating administrative operations, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring organizational efficiency in a technical and compliance-driven environment. Ideal candidates will have prior experience in a manufacturing setting and demonstrate strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.Key Responsibilities:
- Perform complex administrative support duties for managers, supervisors, or department staff.
- Serve as an information source for internal policies and procedures.
- Organize and track department-level correspondence and documentation.
- Gather, validate, and record information from multiple sources.
- Analyze and compile data into reports, statistics, presentations, and correspondence using departmental software tools.
- Respond to routine requests for information via phone, email, or in-person.
- Maintain and retrieve records from established file systems.
- Support the planning and execution of departmental functions or projects.
- Use a laptop or Toughbook to catalog tooling and fixtures into a manufacturing database.
- Input fixture data into a new software system with Aiken MRP access.
- Coordinate with the Timekeeper and local administrative team to inventory, label, and archive materials for offsite storage.
Required Skills:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills
- Ability to interact with stakeholders across all levels of the organization
- Analytical thinking and ability to generate reports and make recommendations
- Ability to work independently using sound judgment
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Adherence to safety policies and organizational procedures
Required Experience:
- Experience performing administrative duties in a professional or technical environment
- Familiarity with manufacturing operations and environments is highly preferred
- Experience working with tooling databases, MRP systems, or similar inventory platforms
- Prior experience managing data entry and documentation workflows
Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent plus 4 years of relevant experience
OR
- Associate’s degree plus 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
