About the role
The Global Logistics Engineer is responsible for designing, optimizing, and managing global logistics processes to ensure an efficient, cost-effective, and reliable material flow from centralized operations through different go to market models to the end customers. The role requires technical expertise, analytical skills, and strategic planning to support supply chain operations and continuous improvement. The role is working in close co operations with our business units globally.
Key Responsibilities
Global Logistics Development
- Develop and optimize the global supply chain in cooperation with global inventory planning
- Monitor and measure logistics chains and provide analyses to support decision-making.
Material Management for Local Sales Units
- Develop and maintain material delivery and order management processes for land business units, ensuring timely deliveries.
- Support land business units in material planning and operational execution of the delivery processes.
- Ensure data transparency in ERP systems and report to the global teams.
Customs & Trade Compliance
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and customs requirements.
Technology & Process Development
- Lead and implement ERP and other system projects to streamline material flows and the delivery process.
- Analyze data to reduce costs, to improve delivery reliability and to shorter the lead time.
Continuous Improvement & Sustainability
- Execute projects that reduce carbon footprint and enhance sustainability in logistics.
Qualifications
- Relevant university degree (e.g., industrial engineering, logistics, supply chain management).
- 5 years of experience in global logistics and material management within technical or manufacturing industries.
- Strong knowledge of international transportation, Incoterms, and customs practices.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and analytics tools, as well as experience in development projects for these systems within order-to-delivery processes
- Excellent problem-solving and project management skills.
- Strong interpersonal abilities and communication skills with fluency in English
