Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Cabinet Maker role based in West Bend, WI. The Cabinet Maker will construct, assemble, and install custom cabinets and related millwork using woodworking machinery, hand tools, and detailed shop drawings. Daily responsibilities include measuring and cutting materials, building cabinet boxes and doors, sanding and finishing surfaces, and fitting hardware to ensure proper function and alignment. The role involves reading and interpreting plans, collaborating with team members to meet quality standards and deadlines, and maintaining a clean, safe, and organized workshop. The Cabinet Maker will also inspect completed work for accuracy and quality, make necessary adjustments, and assist with occasional on-site installations as needed.
Qualifications
- Strong practical experience in Cabinetry and Woodworking, including building, assembling, and finishing custom cabinets.
- Proficiency in Millwork and Carpentry for producing trim, moldings, and other custom wood components.
- Ability in Spatial Design to read, interpret, and work from blueprints, shop drawings, and layout plans.
- Comfort using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery safely and efficiently.
- Attention to detail, accurate measuring and math skills, and a focus on high-quality craftsmanship.
- Ability to stand, lift, and move materials throughout the workday and follow safety procedures.
- Previous cabinet shop or woodworking shop experience preferred; vocational training or apprenticeship is a plus.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work collaboratively with a team and follow project schedules.
