Job Summary

Designs by Sundown is seeking an experienced Irrigation Manager to oversee our Irrigation Division and ensure best practice water management with top-tier service for our valued clients. This role is perfect for someone who excels at building and mentoring high-performance teams while maintaining industry leading water management, operational efficiency and client satisfaction. The ideal candidate possesses extensive irrigation knowledge, while also being an exceptional leader with the ability to manage, train, and motivate large teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and develop a team of irrigation technicians, ensuring exceptional client service delivery.
• Manage technician schedules and work with the Irrigation Coordinator to maintain and update schedules daily, resources, and client communication to ensure seamless operations.
• Monitor work quality and safety compliance across all irrigation projects
• Act as liaison between the Account Managers and Irrigation teams
• Train & oversee maintenance and repair of irrigation systems
• Inventory Management
• Manage with Irrigation Coordinator the ERP/CRM system daily/weekly for scheduling needs, client issues, client invoicing and ticket management
• Ensure technician time cards are approved daily
• Build irrigation proposals as necessary, train and review technician proposals
• Manage budgets, vendor relationships, and procurement of necessary equipment and materials.
• Troubleshoot and resolve irrigation and customer service issues effectively.
• Develop and lead team trainings, implement, and enforce Irrigation Department SOPs and specifications
• Conduct biweekly one-on-one meetings with all direct reports and weekly department meeting
• Meet with clients as necessary, providing excellent client service, solving issues or presenting proposals
  
  

Qualifications

• 2 years of proven experience in irrigation management, with prior experience/knowledge of landscape lighting and water feature services.
• 3-5 years of irrigation experience (dependent on education)
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and oversee large teams.
• Irrigator License, NALP Irrigator Certification, Irrigation Association Irrigator Certification, Certified Landscape Auditor Certification, and/or Backflow Certification
• Competency in Smart Irrigation - Rainbird, Weathermatic/SmartLink, Racheon, Hunter Online Systems and Websites
• Sales principles and process knowledge
• Exceptional customer-service and communication skills
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication abilities.
• Knowledge of irrigation technologies, water efficiency strategies, and regulatory standards.
• Ability to collaborate with clients, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
• Comfortable with technology, software, MS Office
• Aspire or ServiceTitan experience a plus

Position Range

$85,000 - $105,000
