Landscape Construction Foreman
Design Works Landscaping is seeking a reliable and experienced Landscape Construction Foreman to lead installation crews on a wide variety of outdoor projects. This hands-on leadership role involves coordinating team members, managing materials and equipment, and ensuring quality execution of patios, retaining walls, walkways, grading, and other hardscape and softscape installations.
Our ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving in the field, and takes pride in creating high-quality outdoor spaces for our residential and commercial clients. This position also includes winter snow operations, offering year-round employment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and work alongside crew members on construction projects
- Interpret design plans and ensure work is completed to spec and on schedule
- Coordinate materials, deliveries, and daily jobsite logistics
- Operate skid steers, mini excavators, compactors, saws, and other equipment
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite at all times
- Communicate with project managers, office staff, and clients as needed
- Track labor hours and material usage for job costing
- Train crew members in proper installation techniques and site safety
- Participate in snow plowing and storm response during winter months
Requirements:
- 2 years of experience in landscape construction, including pavers, walls, and grading
- 1 year in a supervisory or team lead role preferred
- Ability to read site plans and construction drawings
- Proficiency with construction equipment (skid steer, excavator, etc.)
- Valid driver’s license
- Physically able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Willingness to work long hours during peak season and flexible hours during snow events
