This may involve modeling parts and assemblies in 3D CAD systems; Creating and revising engineering drawings (purchased parts, fabricated parts, instructions, assembly drawings, etc); Implementation of ECRs/ECOs; Creation and modification of mechanical and electrical information in a database used for control panel documentation, including CNC drilling patterns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Solid modeling components and assemblies
- Creation of 2D and 3D “macros” used on control panel layout diagrams and CNC drilling information
- Creating drawings to support new control panel product design activities (AutoCad & Solidworks) including purchased parts, fabricated parts, instructions, and assembly drawings
- Interpreting and implement design changes provided by the customer or Engineering via ECRs/ECOs
- Work closely with engineers and production personnel during panel construction and design
- Maintain accurate and current documentation on design changes and requests
- Must be actively enrolled and in pursuit of Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related discipline
- Exposure to AutoCAD, Solidworks, or similar drawing software
- Experience with PDM preferred (Parts Data Management)
- Working knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Good organization skills with an ability to prioritize time-sensitive assignments
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and administrative skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
