What You'll Do
- Operate and program laser cutting and turret punching machines to meet production schedules and job specs.
- Set up equipment, load materials, and make precise machine adjustments for top-quality output.
- Monitor machine performance and perform routine inspections and maintenance to keep things running smoothly.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, or software issues and collaborate with maintenance for complex repairs.
- Inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality, reporting any issues immediately.
- Follow all safety protocols, wear PPE, and help maintain a clean, hazard-free workspace.
- Work closely with supervisors, quality teams, and fellow operators to hit production goals and share best practices.
- Assist in training new operators and take pride in contributing to team success.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in machining or related field preferred.
- Minimum 2 years' experience operating laser and turret machines (Amada experience a plus).
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Proficient in CNC machine operation and programming.
- Excellent communicator with keen attention to detail and precision.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Comfortable using a wide range of hand and power tools safely.
- Ability to lift 50-85 pounds occasionally (with assistance), and stand, sit, or walk up to 10 hours per shift.
- Proactive, quick thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
