Job Summary
Desert Christian Academy is seeking an enthusiastic, mission-driven Middle School Math Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. We are looking for an educator who is passionate about inspiring students, building strong numerical foundations, and integrating faith with mathematical learning. The ideal candidate will foster critical thinking, logical reasoning, and a "growth mindset" while guiding students in their academic, spiritual, and personal growth. The Middle School Math Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, standards-aligned instruction for students in grades 6–8 from Foundational Math to Algebra I. This teacher will create interactive, problem-based learning experiences that encourage persistence, collaboration, and the real-world application of mathematical concepts. The successful candidate will also build meaningful relationships with students and families while maintaining a positive and structured classroom environment that supports student success. Desert Christian Academy is a Christ-centered learning community committed to partnering with families to develop students spiritually, academically, and socially. Our campus serves as a desert oasis where innovation and analytical thinking thrive in an environment grounded in grace and biblical truth. We are dedicated to equipping students to become disciples of Christ who are responsible, productive, thoughtful, steadfast, honorable, sacrificial, and prepared for a lifetime of Christian service. Candidates should demonstrate a strong personal commitment to Jesus Christ, the ability to integrate biblical principles into daily instruction (highlighting the order and design of God’s creation through mathematics), and a passion for mentoring middle school students during a formative stage of development. Collaboration with colleagues, participation in school events, and engagement in the broader school community are essential components of this role.
