Desert Christian Academy is seeking an enthusiastic, mission-driven Learning Needs Director for the 2026–2027 school year. We are looking for a passionate educator who is committed to supporting students with diverse learning needs while partnering with families, teachers, and para educators to ensure every student thrives academically, spiritually, and socially. The Learning Needs Director will plan and implement programs designed to support individuals with identified learning differences and special needs. This role includes coordinating curricular resources, developing individualized support plans, and evaluating the effectiveness of programs and interventions to ensure measurable student growth and success. The ideal candidate will provide direct services to students within specific areas of specialization, while also offering consultation, training, and ongoing collaboration with classroom teachers and para educators to strengthen instructional practices schoolwide. In addition, the Learning Needs Director will participate in and help lead staff and program development related to specialized instructional methods and best practices for supporting diverse learners. This individual will serve as a key resource for faculty and para educators, equipping them with strategies, accommodations, and tools that promote access, engagement, and achievement for all students. Bachelor’s Degree and/or Master’s Degree with major coursework in special education ACSI Educator Certificate Required (Can be obtained post hire) Transcripts verifying all post-secondary units required Copies of all relevant teaching credentials required
