We are hiring experienced Structural Welders and Ironworkers for a hotel construction project in the Des Moines area.
This role is ideal for candidates with a background in structural steel erection and welding. Team members will spend approximately 50% of their time performing structural welding and 50% performing ironworker duties, depending on experience and project needs.
This project is expected to last 3-4 weeks, with additional local or traveling opportunities potentially available for strong performers.

Position Overview
As a Structural Welder / Ironworker, you will assist with the erection and installation of structural steel for a new hotel construction project. Responsibilities include connecting steel, structural welding, rigging, material placement, and working safely at elevated heights.
This position requires previous structural steel experience and the ability to work as part of a professional construction crew.
Responsibilities
- Erect and install structural steel components
- Connect beams, columns, and steel framework
- Perform structural stick welding and flux-core welding
- Read and interpret blueprints and structural drawings
- Assist with rigging and steel placement
- Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Work at heights ranging from approximately 80-100 feet
- Follow all site-specific safety requirements
- Assist with general ironworker and structural steel duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Previous structural steel or ironworker experience
- Structural welding experience
- Ability to work at heights up to 100 feet
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Reliable transportation to the jobsite
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work
- Strong safety awareness and jobsite professionalism
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS D1.1 Certification
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification
- Connecting experience
- Rigging and signaling experience
- Experience operating aerial lifts or boom lifts
- Commercial construction experience
