Position Overview
This transportation company is looking for a dependable customer service logistics coordinator. You will work in a professional office setting located inside a local warehouse facility.
This is a Temp-to-Hire position. You will have the opportunity to become a permanent employee after 3 months based on your performance and attendance. In this role, you will balance office work with warehouse coordination to keep our daily operations running on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Talk with the customer daily about their orders, inventory levels, and shipping schedules
- Coordinate with freight carriers and dispatchers to schedule trucks
- Greet incoming truck drivers and give them clear loading and unloading instructions
- Create and check shipping documents like Bills of Lading, packing lists, and warehouse pick sheets
- Enter shipping and tracking information into the computer inventory system daily
- Research and solve inventory errors to keep computer records accurate
Requirements
- Consistent and stable work history with past employers
- Proficiency using Microsoft Excel for data entry
- Ability to use a 10-key calculator quickly and accurately
- Ability to pass a background check
- Ability to pass a drug screen
