General Laborer (Masonry Warehouse)

Location: Eldridge, IA

Pay: $17-$18.00 / hour

Monday - Friday - 40 hours paid weekly.

Earn PTO first day of work and use after 60 days.

Supplemental HealthCare insurance available.

Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Job Description

We are seeking a hardworking and reliable General Laborer to join a masonry warehouse team in Eldridge. This role involves physical tasks in a dynamic yard and warehouse environment, focusing on maintaining inventory and site cleanliness.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Pallet Restoration: Inspect and repair wooden pallets using hand and power tools to ensure they meet structural safety standards.
• Material Handling: Efficiently stack and organize blocks and heavy materials to maintain a safe and streamlined workflow. Load customer cars with landscaping orders and blocks.
• Machine Operation: You will load pallets of concrete blocks into a large, rotating, or vibratory drum tumbler.
• Production Line Support: Operate and monitor industrial tumblers, ensuring the continuous flow of product through the production cycle.
• Facility Maintenance: Perform daily housekeeping duties, including sweeping and debris removal, to maintain a clean and hazard-free work environment.

Requirements

• Steel-Toed Boots: You must have your own steel-toed boots to be eligible for this position.
• Drug Testing: Candidates must be able to pass a required drug test for all drugs.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to perform general labor and heavy lifting in a warehouse setting.
• Must Have 1-2 years of warehouse experience.
• Tools: Proficiency in the safe use of hand tools. Must know how to use to repair pallets.
• Must have reliable transportation and great attendance is a must.

Work Environment

• Safety Gear: Other necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is provided on-site.

• Setting: This is a warehouse and yard-based position involving exposure to masonry materials. May be working inside or outside.
