Warehouse Machine Operator (Forklift & Baling)
Location: SW Cedar Rapids, IA on bus line
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (40 Hours/Week)
Compensation: Approx. $430 Paid Weekly ($1720 monthly) Supplemental Healthcare Benefits
We are seeking a dependable individual to join our team as a Forklift Operator & Machine Operator. This a long-term role where you can grow. We even provide company-paid forklift certification (cost $150) to help you level up your skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Machine Operation: Load, operate, and monitor hydraulic baling machines to compress clothing, textiles, and accessories.
- Bale Processing: Securely bind bales with wire or strapping, label them accurately, and remove them from the machine.
- Material Handling: Move, stack, and store finished bales in designated areas using Class IV/V ICE forklifts or pallet jacks.
- Sorting: Sort clothing by type and ensure all non-textile waste is removed prior to baling.
- Safety & Maintenance: Follow strict safety protocols, wear all required PPE, and perform routine equipment checks.
- Production: Maintain a steady pace to meet daily bale production targets.
Requirements
- Experience: Must have at least 1 year of sit-down forklift experience within the last 12 months.
- Must have Valid drivers license
- Equipment Knowledge: Experience specifically with Class IV/V Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) forklifts.
- Reliability: Ability to work the consistent 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM shift.
- Manual Dexterity: Comfortable performing repetitive motions and manual tasks throughout a full 8-hour shift.
- Upper Body Conditioning: Ability to constantly use your arms, hands, and upper body to load materials and process heavy bales.
- High Activity Level: This is a physically demanding role that requires stamina and the ability to maintain a steady pace in a warehouse environment.
