CDL-A Truck Drivers – Midwest Regional (Kansas City, MO Area)
New Drivers & Experienced Drivers Encouraged to Apply
A Dependable Transports is expanding its Midwest Regional fleet and is actively hiring Class A CDL drivers based within 150 miles of Kansas City, Missouri. This opportunity is ideal for drivers looking for steady freight, predictable lanes, and clear expectations whether you’re just getting started or already have experience behind the wheel.
This is Midwest Regional freight, primarily running through MO, KS, IA, IL, IN, OH, KY, NE, SD, and surrounding states. Freight stays regional no West Coast, no Northeast corridor, and no coast-to-coast routing.
Home Time That Makes Sense
Home time is structured based on experience and location, with consistency being the priority.
- Experienced drivers living within range of Kansas City may qualify for weekly home time with 34–48 hour resets.
- New drivers typically run 10–12 days out and then return home for 2 full days. After gaining experience, new drivers become eligible for more frequent home time.
This structure allows new drivers time to learn the lanes while still maintaining balance, and gives experienced drivers predictable resets.
Pay & Earnings
Pay is experience-based and increases as drivers gain confidence, efficiency, and miles.
New Drivers (After Training):
Newly solo drivers typically average $1,000–$1,300 per week as they learn the operation and settle into consistent routing.
- Starting CPM after training: $0.46 – $0.50
- Weekly pay, W-2 position, direct deposit available
Experienced Drivers:
Drivers with verifiable tractor-trailer experience start at higher mileage rates.
- CPM range: $0.50 – $0.70, based on experience
- Weekly averages: $1,200–$1,500 , depending on miles and availability
- Detention and layover pay when applicable
This is not spot-market freight. These are consistent Midwest lanes designed for reliability and long-term earnings.
Entry-Level Drivers – We’ll Train You
A Dependable Transports works with recent graduates from accredited CDL schools.
- Minimum 120 hours completed from an approved school
- Paid mentor training for 3–4 weeks
- Training pay averages $600–$800 per week
- Upon completion, drivers graduate to solo status with their own tractor and CPM pay
Drivers with 3 months of verified experience may qualify to bypass training and start solo immediately.
Freight & Equipment
Drivers haul a mix of dry van and reefer freight, all no-touch.
- Approximately 65–75% drop & hook
- Remaining loads are live unload at delivery only
- 1–2 loads per day
- 300–500 miles daily on average
- 53-ft trailers with well-maintained equipment
Drivers are expected to operate safely, manage time responsibly, and maintain professionalism with customers and dispatch.
