**CDL-A Truck Drivers – Dedicated Midwest Regional
Rockford, IL Area**
A Dependable Transports is hiring Class A CDL drivers based within 75–100 miles of Rockford, Illinois for a dedicated Midwest regional operation. This position offers steady freight, consistent lanes, and dependable pay for both entry-level and experienced drivers.
This account operates throughout the Midwest and surrounding central states, including Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, Iowa, Missouri, Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, and nearby areas. There is no West Coast travel and no coast-to-coast routing.
Home Time
Home time is based on experience and location.
Drivers with verifiable experience may qualify for weekly home time with 34–48 hour resets, depending on lane availability and proximity to the terminal.
Drivers who are newer to the industry generally run 10–12 days followed by 2 full days at home. As experience is gained, additional home time options may become available.
Pay & Earnings
This is a mileage-based, W-2 position with weekly pay.
New Drivers (after training):
Drivers newly transitioning to solo status typically average $1,000–$1,300 per week while becoming familiar with the lanes and operation.
Starting CPM: $0.46–$0.50
Weekly pay with direct deposit available
Drivers with verifiable tractor-trailer experience are eligible for higher starting mileage rates.
CPM range: $0.50–$0.70, based on experience
Weekly averages commonly range from $1,200–$1,500
Detention and layover pay available when applicable
Recent Graduates – Paid Training Available
A Dependable Transports welcomes recent CDL graduates from accredited programs.
Minimum 120 hours from an approved CDL school
3–4 weeks of paid training with a qualified mentor
Training pay averages $600–$800 per week
Upon completion, drivers transition to solo status with CPM pay and assigned equipment
Drivers with three or more months of verified experience may qualify to begin solo without additional training.
Freight & Equipment
Mix of dry van and reefer freight
No-touch freight
Approximately 65–75% drop & hook
Live unloads at delivery only
1–2 loads per day
Average 300–500 miles daily
53-foot trailers with late-model equipment
Drivers are expected to operate safely, manage hours of service appropriately, and maintain professional customer interactions.
