A Dependable Transports is currently hiring CDL-A truck drivers based in or near Augusta, Georgia for a Southeast Regional position hauling dedicated reefer freight. This role is designed for drivers who want consistent miles, predictable routing, and clear expectations around home time without running nationwide or dealing with constant freight changes.

This opportunity is open to experienced drivers as well as recent CDL graduates. The structure of this lane allows drivers to build stability early while also offering advancement opportunities as experience grows.

Running Area & Freight

Drivers operate primarily throughout the Southeast and South Central regions, covering states such as Georgia, Alabama, Florida, Mississippi, Tennessee, the Carolinas, Louisiana, Arkansas, and surrounding areas. This is a dedicated reefer operation serving consistent customers with established lanes.

Freight is 100% no touch, with approximately 75% drop-and-hook and the remaining loads live at delivery. Drivers typically run 1–2 loads per day, averaging 300–500 miles daily, depending on the route. Weekly mileage averages between 2,300 and 2,650 miles, with top performers able to run additional miles based on availability.

Routes generally run 12–14 hours, and drivers should be comfortable operating both day and night as freight schedules require.

Home Time

Home time varies based on experience level and is discussed clearly during onboarding.

• Experienced drivers typically run 5 days out and 2 days home, returning weekly for 34–48 hour resets.
• Recent graduates may have limited home-weekly availability depending on lane demand.
• Standard home time for new drivers is bi-weekly, allowing time to gain consistency and confidence early on.

As experience increases, drivers may become eligible for improved home-time options based on performance and lane availability.

Pay & Advancement

Pay is competitive and based on verified experience.

• Drivers average $1,300–$1,600 weekly, depending on miles and experience.
• Weekly mileage supports steady earnings without excessive downtime.
• Limited sign-on bonus available for drivers who schedule orientation by the first week of January 2026 (ask recruiter for details).

All drivers are paid weekly via W-2 employment, with direct deposit available.

New Driver & Training Pathway

Drivers with no prior over-the-road experience are welcome to apply if they have graduated from an accredited CDL program with a minimum of 120 training hours.

New drivers complete 3–4 weeks of paid mentor training, focusing on safe reefer operations, trip planning, hours-of-service compliance, backing, customer procedures, and DOT regulations. Training pay is issued weekly. Upon completion, drivers graduate to solo status and move into standard CPM pay.

Orientation

Orientation is paid and structured to ensure drivers understand safety expectations, company procedures, and operational standards before going solo. Travel and lodging details are provided during the hiring process.

Benefits

Drivers are eligible for a full benefits package after 60 days, including medical, dental, and vision coverage. Additional offerings include a 401(k) with company match, referral bonuses, and optional supplemental benefits.
