Position Overview:
The Direct Care Worker (DCW) Coordinator manages all aspects of the Direct Care Worker Program. This includes onboarding, scheduling, training, competency oversight, documentation, and coordination with clinical staff to ensure quality and compliance. The DCW Coordinator also acts as a liaison with ALTCS case managers and ensures services meet authorization guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain up-to-date schedules and availability for all DCWs
- Communicate schedule changes and updates to DCWs
- Review and verify timesheets for accuracy and timeliness
- Monitor client census and update regularly
- Coordinate staff assignments with Office Manager
- Enter payroll data accurately and ensure timely processing
- Obtain service authorizations and ensure care delivery is within scope
- Track and document DCW training, testing, and certification compliance
- Assist with accurate billing and care management data entry
- Ensure compliance with all AZ DCW regulations and reporting (OIG, SAM, APS)
- Complete and submit Non-Provision of Service logs to ALTCS/DDD
- Serve as on-call support outside of normal business hours for DCW-related issues
Requirements:
- Bilingual in English and Spanish – Required
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to multitask in a high-volume, fast-paced setting
- Commitment to teamwork and collaboration
- Previous experience in home health or care coordination preferred
- Willing to complete caregiver training if not already certified
