Basic Requirement For Education Research Analyst:
Degree: Bachelor's degree (or higher degree) that included or was supplemented by at least 24 semester hours in a field related to the work of the position, of which at least one course was in research methods and at least two courses were in statistics.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: At least 24 semester hours in a field related to the work of the position, of which at least one course was in research methods and at least two courses in statistics, plus appropriate experience or additional education. The experience must have demonstrated (1) a thorough knowledge of the principles underlying the work of this position, and (2) understanding, both theoretical and practical, of the methods and techniques applied in performing work in this position.
In Addition To Meeting The Basic Requirement Above, To Qualify For This Position You Must Also Meet The Qualification Requirements Listed Below:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes conducting continuous improvement practices for an educational system, utilizing data to solve educational problems, and coaching staff on how to use educational research data.
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).

- Conducts research to generate information and plans, organizes , formulates, manages, and reports on research and development activities.
- Uses software tools to perform statistical analysis of data.
- Ensure statistical validity and accuracy of reports.
- Prepares research reports relating results to significant issues where research results may be significant guides to action.
- Oversees monitoring of strategic plan priorities.
- Develop accountability procedures and instruments to accurately determine and report the accomplishment of organizational Goals and objectives.
- Leads employees in the performance of work objectives.
Conditions of employment
- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Requirement.

- One year trial or probationary period may be required.
