What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supervisory Air Traffic Control Specialist position at Department of Transportation?
If you are not FSS facility rated, you must attend, complete and pass the Alaska Flight Service Training Academy.
Qualifications:To qualify for this position, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to FV-H, FG/GS-12, CPC level. Applicants must have specialized experience in an air traffic facility which demonstrates possession of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the level of work of the advertised position. This experience must have provided a comprehensive knowledge of appropriate air traffic control laws, rules and regulations. Such experience is typically demonstrated by accomplishment of assignments of the difficulty and responsibility described in the position classification standard used to evaluate positions at the next lower grade/pay band level (FV-H, FG/GS-12, CPC).
