The California Department of Insurance (CDI) is seeking a dynamic Student Assistant who is eager to support the rate filing staff to fulfill their mission, to ensure the insurance companies comply with California Insurance Code which requires the rates may not be excessive, inadequate, or unfairly discriminatory.

Student Assistant is a classification designed for undergraduate college students performing pre-professional duties. Student Assistants must a maintain continued enrollment in a college curriculum totaling a minimum of six (6) semester units or nine (9) quarter units, and must also maintain a 2.0 Grade Point Average (GPA).

Working Conditions
- Eligible for telework in accordance with CDIs telework policy. Teleworking student assistant may be required to report to their headquarters office location as needed. Travel expenses are not reimbursed, however other authorized transit subsidies do exist for those who qualify.
- Must be able to work in a high-rise building.
- Position may require frequent sitting.
