Under the general direction of the Information Technology Manager I (ITM I), the Application Architect is responsible for overseeing Salesforce and other third-party applications by defining and managing the rules, policies, and architectural designs that guide the efficient operation of these platforms. This role ensures that applications are developed in alignment with business requirements and industry best practices.The Application Architect works closely with the Salesforce, Box and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) program teams to ensure that diverse business requirements are accurately defined and implemented within the applications. The role also supports product teams in developing and delivering metrics and reporting solutions across Salesforce, CRM Analytics, Looker, and GCP.Additionally, the Application Architect is responsible for conducting testing, enforcing data quality standards, and reviewing system integration, automation, and performance testing results against established baselines. The position includes designing and developing data migration scripts and building integrations with third-party systems.

The incumbent must conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times and should establish good working relationships with others and be ready to learn new technologies.The incumbent must complete assigned tasks on time. DIR does not participate in E-Verify.

This job is located at: 2180 Harvard Street, Suite 160, Sacramento CA 95815.

The incumbent will work in a temperature-controlled office environment with an assigned cubicle. Access to the department suite will require a special badge. DIR is currently in a hybrid telework schedule and Incumbent will be required to work on site two days (or based department policies) a week.

This position requires the incumbent to maintain acceptable, consistent, and regular attendance at such level as is determined at the Department’s sole discretion; must be regularly available and willing to work the hours the Department determines are necessary or desirable to meet its business needs. Shall communicate effectively (orally and in writing if both appropriate) in dealing with the public and/or other employees; develop and maintain knowledge and skill related to specific tasks, methodologies, materials, tools, and equipment; complete assignments in a timely and efficient manner; and adhere to departmental policies and procedures regarding attendance, leave, and conduct.
In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:

• Good knowledge of Salesforce eco systems, at least worked on 3 Salesforce projects.
• Knowledge of principles, methods, and procedures for designing, developing, optimizing, and integrating systems in accordance with best practices; system specifications design, documentation, and implementation methodologies and techniques.
• Should have Salesforce certifications.
• Knowledge of different kind of integrations and industry best practices.
• Knowledge of data quality management, principle of different kind of testing.
• Skills to effectively communicate with all stakeholders both written and oral.
• Salesforce advance administration as well as Lightning Web Components.
• Skills to deploy the codes using any DevOps tool.
• Skills to be flexible and easily adapt to change.
• Skills to facilitate meetings and discussions.
• Skills to being detail-oriented and capable of delivering high level of accuracy.

Salary : $103,500 - $138,684
