Under the direction of the Information Technology Manager I on CROS Production Support Team, the ITS II works as an independent technical specialist lead on the most complex software management solutions. The lead will have a responsibility for managing and supporting operations, maintenance, and upgrades. The activities of the Application Administrator Lead will focus on keeping the application, file, web, and databases up and running at a healthy and optimum level. The ITS II in the CROS Bureau will be responsible for:
- Planning technical strategies for activities to achieve the department wide goals for CROS.
- Providing advice to the CROS Bureau chief on sensitive and complex issues related to the management and support of the application environment.
- Participation in all stages of the application, file, and web server administration and configuration in support of CROS.
- Creating, managing, and optimizing environments for CROS.
- Coordinating activities for scheduled system changes, enhancements, and service/sync packs.
- Preparation of reports and makes recommendations for improvement.

Under Government Code 14200, this position may be eligible for partial telework for eligible candidates residing in California. All telework/hybrid schedules require staff to report to the office a minimum number of days per week. Schedules are subject to change.
