ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare orders for Domestic and International shipments.
- Pick orders from finished goods inventory for shipment.
- Check items pulled for orders to ensure accuracy of count and product.
- Pack product securely in appropriate carton, and enter all appropriate information into the delivery, such as quantity, serial numbers, waybill, etc.
- Utilize UPS Worldship or other software to provide shipment tracking detail.
- Responsible for inventory control of finished goods. Perform weekly cycle counts to ensure accuracy.
- Order department supplies on a weekly basis.
- Become certified to ship hazardous materials. Prepare hazardous goods for shipment in compliance with all regulations.
- Complete required forms, records, other paperwork and data entry into Oracle system.
- Develop, recommend, and implement measures to improve shipping methods and performance.
- Interface with other department supervision and personnel to ensure customer deadlines are met.
- Report discrepancies via reports to quality and supervision for disposition and corrective action as required.
- Ensure assigned equipment is properly maintained and utilized; make repairs to the extent qualified.
- Complete Oracle transactions and other paperwork accurately.
- Perform work in a safe manner.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Minimum 1-3 years shipping experience required.
- Experience with using UPS Worldship a must.
- Proficiency in using personal computers, including Windows-based applications.
- Experience with Oracle, SAP, or similar inventory control system a plus.
- Read, write, and verbally communicate in English.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and be able to use hand truck, pallet jack, forklift, etc.
- Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time.
- Conscientious and detailed-minded, with ability to prioritize and multi-task.
