Responsibilities
- Insurance & Billing Support: Process dental insurance claims, verify patient benefits, post insurance and patient payments, and follow up on outstanding claims and accounts receivable.
- Patient Account Management: Prepare and review patient statements, explain treatment estimates and payment options, and assist patients with billing inquiries.
- Administrative Support: Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, assist with scheduling and patient intake as needed, and ensure all billing information is up to date.
- Compliance & Accuracy: Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow office billing procedures and workplace regulations.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the clinical and front office teams to support smooth daily operations and provide a positive patient experience.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 1 year of dental billing, insurance coordination, or dental office experience
- Knowledge of dental insurance claims processing and billing procedures
- Experience with dental practice management software WinOMS preferred
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in a patient-focused environment
