The Team Support position is responsible for ensuring that the Production Department has all necessary materials, tools, and equipment to run efficiently in accordance with production schedules. This role includes monitoring inventory, supporting changeovers, relieving Associates on the line as needed, and ensuring smooth production flow.

Position Summary
The Team Support position is responsible for ensuring that the Production Department has all necessary materials, tools, and equipment to run efficiently in accordance with production schedules. This role includes monitoring inventory, supporting changeovers, relieving Associates on the line as needed, and ensuring smooth production flow.
Key Responsibilities
Production Support
- Verify proper work procedures are being followed.
- Supply all necessary production materials using the Kanban system.
- Relieve Associates on the production line when required.
- Perform changeovers and ensure workstations are equipped with proper parts, work instructions, and supplies.
- Monitor line activity and output to ensure alignment with the daily plan. Report any equipment problems, manpower concerns, or product abnormalities to the Team Leader.
- Perform basic troubleshooting, repair of production equipment, and fabrication of process support materials.
- Review tie-in sheets with the following shift.
- Perform rework as necessary.
- Support TPM activities.
- Assist other department members as needed and promote 5S improvements.
- Participate in Kaizen and EF (Efficiency Focus) activities.
- Act as a mentor by training new Associates on quality and production requirements.
- Retrain existing Associates on any process changes.
- Ensure Associates operate in a safe manner at all times.
- Ensure compliance with IATF-16949 requirements and perform layered process audits.
- Follow all procedures and work instructions; recommend process improvements.
- Immediately report non-conformances and record them for corrective and preventive action.
- Support DMNC’s Quality and Environmental Management Systems.
- Actively contribute to achieving and maintaining IATF-16949 and ISO-14001 certifications.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Some vocational training or equivalent experience required for minor machine repairs.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of SPC (Statistical Process Control) and basic measuring devices.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes.
- Basic fabricating skills and ability to operate hand tools.
- Manufacturing environment with automated machinery.
- Safety glasses and safety shoes required.
- Position requires standing and walking for extended periods.
- Must be able to move, lift, or carry objects weighing up to 35 lbs.
