Student working towards a BSME degree
Able to meet DENSO Co-Op Program requirements, including working hours (15 hours/week minimum) and GPA (3.0)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Modify / update equipment for new model introductions.
Write equipment specifications for the procurement of manufacturing equipment.
Lead in the start-up and debug of new equipment.
Manage projects from inception through completion.
Support and improve existing manufacturing processes.
Provide daily support for manufacturing processes.
Support and improve the existing machines and process flow of manufacturing from forming through final assembly.
Support equipment relocation and disposal projects.
Work on KAIZEN (continuous improvement) activity projects to improve safety, quality and productivity.
Work with production to understand and solve quality/scrap issues.
Create and support Control plans and FMEAs
Perform and support process capability studies, data collection, and analysis
Perform and analyze cycle time studies
Presentation preparation for reports and summaries.
PREFERENCES
Previous engineering co-op/intern experience in manufacturing environment
Knowledge of aluminum forming, welding and brazing processes
Knowledge of ISO/TS or IATF 16949 Quality Management
A pro-active person who will seek out and implement additional tasks that add value to the company.
Ability to read and understand GD&T.
Ability to lift heavy objects >35lbs (DataPaq, Jigs, Braze Trays...).
Ability to work in a high heat environment >100F.
Ability to work standing up for > 4 hours at a time.
