Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing attentive and friendly service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
- Assist with food handling, sanitation, and food safety procedures to ensure compliance with health regulations
- Manage cash handling, cashiering duties, and openTable reservations with precision and professionalism
- Support the team by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and assisting with food preparation when needed
- Build positive guest relations through attentive service, addressing questions or concerns promptly to foster loyalty
Requirements
- Previous restaurant experience or food service background, including fine dining or nightclub settings preferred
- Proficiency in POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; familiarity with OpenTable is a plus
- Strong knowledge of food handling, sanitation standards, and food safety protocols
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining a friendly demeanor
- Experience in serving, bussing, host/hostess roles, or cashiering enhances your candidacy
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
- Culinary experience or kitchen familiarity is advantageous but not required; a passion for the food industry is essential
