Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and seat them promptly, providing menus and answering initial questions about the menu offerings.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring special requests are noted clearly.
• Serve food and drinks efficiently, upselling menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and assisting with food handling and preparation when needed.
• Manage guest relations by addressing concerns promptly, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring overall guest satisfaction.
• Process payments accurately through POS systems, handle cash transactions, and give correct change while adhering to cash handling procedures.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders, especially in fine dining or nightclub settings where pace is rapid.

Requirements

• Previous restaurant or food service experience is highly preferred, but not required, especially in fast-paced or fine dining environments.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; OpenTable experience is a plus.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to upsell menu items confidently.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours.
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
• Ability to perform basic math for cashiering and cash handling tasks accurately.
• Experience with food preparation or kitchen operations is advantageous but not required.
• Must possess good communication skills and a friendly attitude to foster guest relations in diverse settings including nightlife venues or casual dining spaces.
