We're Hiring: Office Assistant

Dennett Rehab Center – Oakland, MD

Dennett Rehab is on the lookout for an Office Assistant who’s equal parts helpful, professional, and approachable. If you're the kind of person who color-codes your inbox for fun, enjoys answering questions (even the same ones, five different ways), and finds satisfaction in a perfectly organized file cabinet—you might be our kind of people.

In this role, you’ll support our facility, keep things running smoothly behind the scenes, and help our team feel supported every step of the way.

What You’ll Be Doing (besides being everyone’s favorite person in the office):

• Helping team members with HR-related questions and needs (yes, even the ones already in the handbook)
• Assisting with payroll and making sure the numbers add up—because no one wants a surprise on payday
• Coordinating or conducting exit interviews (we promise not to take it personally)
• Staying on top of files and paperwork so they don’t mysteriously disappear into the “black hole” drawer
• Assisting with open enrollment and worker's comp
• Being a warm, calm, and kind presence for staff and guests alike
  
  
  

What We’re Looking For:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be skilled in Microsoft Office Software (i.e. Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, etc)
• Previous office experience is a plus
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Comfortable handling sensitive info (you’re basically a vault with a friendly smile)
• A positive, people-first attitude that can weather a Monday morning with grace
  
  
  

The Details:

• Non-exempt (hourly)
• On-site with some walking, lifting, and occasional battles with the copier
• Part of a 24/7 operation, so occasional weekends/holidays might pop up
