Position: Preschool Teacher
Location: Demoney Elementary, Estherville Lincoln Central Community School District

Summary:
The Full-Day Preschool Teacher provides developmentally appropriate, full-day instruction to support the cognitive, social-emotional, and physical growth of early learners. This position creates a structured, nurturing, and engaging learning environment while implementing curriculum aligned to Iowa Early Learning Standards and collaborating with families and staff to support student success.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate full-day instruction aligned to Iowa Early Learning Standards
• Design a balanced daily schedule that supports learning, play, rest, and social-emotional development
• Foster a positive, safe, and engaging classroom environment that supports early childhood growth and independence
• Support the development of foundational skills in language, literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional learning
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse developmental needs of young learners
• Monitor student progress through observation and assessment and adjust instruction accordingly
• Collaborate with special education staff, support services, and families to meet individual student needs
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and development
• Supervise students throughout the full school day, including transitions, meals, and rest periods
• Participate in team meetings, professional learning communities (PLCs), and professional development
• Maintain accurate student records and ensure compliance with district, state, and federal requirements
• Promote positive relationships and strong school-family partnerships

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
• Valid Iowa teaching license issued by the Iowa Board of Educational Examiners
• Early Childhood endorsement preferred
