- Beginning Hourly Pay Range is $16-$18. There are numerous ways to qualify as a teacher, which will be discussed during interviews.
Summary: Seeking loving, fun, and energetic individuals to join our team to care for and assist in the development of Infants, Toddlers, Preschoolers and School Age children.
Responsibilities:
- Daily follow our curriculum to teach and guide children to achieve their physical, social, emotional, and cognitive milestones
- Participate in physical activity with children throughout the day
- Always ensure safety of children. Ensure equipment and facility are clean, well maintained and safe at all times.
- On an on-going basis, plan, evaluate and improve the physical environment in the classroom to create opportunities to meet the changing needs of the developing child.
- Demonstrate cultural competency and respect for the child’s background by incorporating the cultural, linguistic and familial values and beliefs into the childcare program and lesson plans.
- Change diapers as needed and provide supervision of toilet training and bathroom time.
- Oversee healthy and nutritious meals and maintain related record keeping.
- Maintain ongoing developmental records for each child, including keeping records of all developing skills (physical, social, emotional, and cognitive).
- Have positive communication and provide required updates with parents daily through the use of daily sheets, notes, or verbally.
- Work with all staff to form a positive, supportive team atmosphere.
- All employees are required to follow our curriculums, class room schedules, state mandated licensing guidelines, 4-star rated program and policies and procedures governed by the MN Department of Human Services and MN Department of Health.
- Act as a Mandatory Child Abuse and Neglect Reporter, as required
- Additional duties may be assigned as required
Periodic Duties:
- Attend all Early Childhood staff meetings, team planning meetings and curriculum meetings.
- Teachers in each age group are required to prepare and conducts Parent/Teacher Conferences twice per year
- Teachers, Asst. Teachers and Aides in each age group, work together monthly to create our Monthly Calendars & Newsletters for parents.
