JOB TITLE: ASSEMBLY LEAD
REPORTS TO: PRODUCTION MANAGER, PLASTICS DIRECT REPORTS: None
POSITION SUMMARY
This position’s responsibility is to assign daily tasks and provide guidance as needed for assemblers. Duties include IQMS, printing blueprints, assigning work orders to workstations, assigning assemblers to workstations, auditing and completing the leadership form for work orders, reading blueprints, verifying work instructions, notifying engineering as needed and following instructions from managers. Knowledge of aircraft parts and experience working with a variety of materials and tools. Attention to detail and the ability to work in a team environment is essential. Excellent communication and computer skills are required.

- Relationships: Working with M.E.’s, Quality, Leadership, Manager and Warehouse.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Standing up to 10 hours per day
• Walking, sitting, hand to finger, handle, grip, feel objects, tools, typing, reaching with hands and arms, balance, stoop, talk and hear
• Occasionally lift up to 35 pounds
• Specific vision abilities required include being able to see with 20/20 vision

• Leading the assembly floor and setting a positive example for the team
• Training for various workstations and assemblies as needed
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Detail-oriented with the ability to analyze and determine methods and procedures
• Monitoring employees and awareness of safety concerns

Qualifications:

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
• 2 years of aerospace or similar manufacturing assembly experience required
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Aerospace Industry experience
