POSITION SUMMARY
The Production Expeditor ensures the continuous and efficient flow of materials, components, and work-in-progress through all stages of the manufacturing process. This role monitors production schedules, identifies bottlenecks, resolves delays, and coordinates cross-functional communication to ensure customer orders and production commitments are met on time.

JOB SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Production Workflow & Scheduling
• Track daily production schedules and ensure jobs are launched, processed, and completed according to priority and deadlines
• Monitor the progress of work orders and communicate status updates to supervisors, planners, and customer service representatives
• Identify delays, shortages, or quality issues that may impact schedule adherence and escalate as needed
• Work with Scheduling to adjust schedules when priorities shift
Material Coordination
• Verify that all materials, tools, and components required for production jobs are available at the point of use
• Locate, expedite, or coordinate the delivery of missing materials from inventory, purchasing, or upstream departments
• Communicate material shortages and collaborate with purchasing and warehousing teams to resolve issues
Communication & Coordination
• Act as a liaison between production, planning, quality, purchasing, and logistics teams
• Provide timely updates on work order status, constraints, and progress toward daily production goals
• Support customer service by providing real-time information on order availability and estimated completion times
Documentation & Reporting
• Maintain accurate records of work order statuses, material movement, and production delays
• Prepare daily or weekly reports on schedule adherence, bottlenecks, and expediting activities
• Ensure all material movement and job tracking are correctly recorded in the ERP system (IQMS)
Process Support
• Identify opportunities to improve workflow, reduce delays, and streamline production processes.
• Assist with inventory cycle counts and reconciliation of discrepancies when materials are missing or unaccounted for.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives such as 5S, lean manufacturing, and visual workplace systems.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• 2 years of experience in manufacturing, logistics, production control, or expediting
• Familiarity with IQMS ERP software
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to read work orders, production schedules, and material lists
• Solid problem‑solving and organizational abilities
• Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes and workflow
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience in high‑volume or fast‑paced manufacturing environments
• Background in lean/continuous improvement (5S, kaizen, etc.)
• Ability to interpret blueprints, BOMs, or production routing documents
