What You'll Do
As a Staff Accountant, you will play an important role in supporting financial operations across multiple manufacturing locations and divisions.
Key responsibilities include:
General Ledger & Accounting Operations
- Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
- Perform bank and intercompany reconciliations
- Maintain accurate and organized accounting records
Month-End and Year-End Close
- Assist with monthly and annual close processes
- Prepare supporting schedules and financial reporting packages
- Support financial statement preparation
Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare financial reports and assist with variance analysis
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities
- Research and interpret financial data to address accounting questions
Compliance & Controls
- Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and accounting standards (GAAP)
- Assist with internal and external audit requests
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Partner with finance and operations teams to ensure accurate reporting
- Provide backup support for accounts receivable, accounts payable, and expense reporting
- Assist with system implementations and process improvements
What We're Looking For
Qualified candidates will bring a combination of technical accounting knowledge, analytical ability, and strong attention to detail.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2-5 years of accounting experience (manufacturing environment preferred)
- Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting practices
- Experience with ERP systems (Epicor preferred)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
