Duties
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices, payments, and collections
- Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger accounting to maintain accurate financial records
- Prepare journal entries, double-entry bookkeeping, and account analysis to support financial reporting
- Reconcile balance sheets and perform account reconciliations using accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage, or similar systems
- Process payroll accurately and efficiently while adhering to payroll processing standards
- Maintain detailed records of financial transactions using spreadsheets and financial software systems
- Assist with financial report writing, ensuring compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and other accounting standards
Experience
- Proven bookkeeping experience within an automotive or related industry environment
- Strong knowledge of accounting systems such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar financial software platforms
- Familiarity with corporate accounting principles, non-profit accounting (if applicable), and public accounting practices
- Demonstrated ability to perform account analysis, account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and balance sheet reconciliation
- Experience with payroll processing, accounts payable/receivable management, and journal entries
- Excellent understanding of financial concepts including debits & credits, double entry bookkeeping, and general ledger management
- Proficiency in spreadsheets (Excel or equivalent) with high typing accuracy (10 key typing) for data entry and analysis
