Duties
- Perform oil changes, automotive fluid replacements, tire rotations, and basic vehicle inspections efficiently and accurately
- Conduct minor mechanical repairs such as replacing filters, belts, batteries, and other standard passenger car components
- Assist with wheel alignments and tire services to ensure optimal vehicle performance
- Use hand tools and power tools safely to complete maintenance tasks according to manufacturer specifications
- Diagnose basic automotive issues using diagnostic tools and communicate findings clearly to service technicians or customers
- Maintain cleanliness of work area and ensure all tools and equipment are properly stored after use
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining services performed and recommending additional maintenance needs when appropriate
Requirements
- Prior dealership or automotive service experience is highly preferred
- Mechanic experience with a solid understanding of automotive diagnostics and mechanical repair techniques
- Familiarity with standard passenger car operation and maintenance procedures
- Knowledge of automotive fluids, oil change procedures, tire service, and alignment processes
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform minor repairs confidently
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects frequently and perform manual tasks requiring strength and stamina
- Excellent customer service skills with a proactive attitude toward vehicle maintenance and repair recommendations
