Responsibilities
- Perform thorough diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
- Repair and maintain various mechanical systems including engines, transmissions, suspension, brakes, shocks & struts, and powertrain components.
- Conduct oil changes, tire services, wheel alignments, and vehicle maintenance to ensure safety and reliability.
- Work on diesel engines, heavy equipment mechanics tasks, and auto body repairs as needed.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical tools efficiently to complete repairs.
- Follow dealership or industry standards for ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), air brake systems, and auto electrical systems.
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding repair needs and provide excellent customer service throughout the service process.
Requirements
- Proven experience working in the automotive repair industry with a strong mechanical knowledge base.
- Dealership experience or familiarity with GM vehicles is preferred but not mandatory.
- Proficiency in automotive diagnostics, schematics reading, and mechanical systems repair.
- Hands-on experience with transmission repair, automotive suspension system repair, brake repair, and wheel alignment.
- Knowledge of diesel engine repair and diesel mechanics is highly desirable.
- Ability to work with vehicle maintenance procedures including oil changes and tire services efficiently.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to clients.
- Experience working with heavy equipment mechanics or auto body repair is a plus.
- Valid certification in automotive technology or relevant trade certifications is preferred but not required.
