⚡ IMPORTANT: Candidates must have direct hands-on experience supporting CGI Outage Management System (OMS) environments within an electric utility organization. Candidates without CGI OMS and electric utility experience will not be considered.

Position Summary

We are seeking a CGI OMS Application Support Specialist to support the operations, maintenance, reliability, and ongoing enhancement of a mission-critical Outage Management System (OMS) environment supporting electrical grid operations.

The system is utilized by electrical dispatchers, grid operators, and outage management personnel to support outage restoration, grid reliability, and operational decision-making across the electric distribution network.

The ideal candidate brings deep hands-on experience supporting CGI OMS applications within electric utility environments and understands the operational demands of highly available, production-critical systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide operational support, maintenance, and administration of the CGI Outage Management System (OMS)

• Monitor and maintain OMS application availability, performance, and reliability

• Support outage management operations used by electrical dispatchers and utility operations teams

• Troubleshoot application issues, production incidents, system failures, and performance concerns

• Support OMS-related databases, integrations, and application environments

• Perform root cause analysis and coordinate issue resolution activities

• Support OMS enhancements, upgrades, patches, releases, and modernization initiatives

• Maintain and support PragmaCAD and related OMS application suites

• Collaborate with utility operations teams, business stakeholders, and technical teams to support ongoing system improvements

• Develop and maintain operational documentation, support procedures, and technical knowledge repositories

• Support automation, scripting, and system administration activities where applicable

• Participate in testing, validation, deployment, and production readiness activities

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience

• Direct hands-on experience supporting CGI Outage Management System (OMS)

• Experience supporting OMS platforms within electric utility environments

• Experience providing production application operational support

• Experience supporting mission-critical systems with high availability requirements

• Experience troubleshooting application, database, and system issues within production environments

• Experience supporting OMS-related databases and application environments

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills

• Strong communication skills and ability to work with technical and operational stakeholders

• Experience supporting enterprise applications in production environments

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Experience working directly for CGI supporting OMS implementations or support engagements

• Experience supporting PragmaCAD

• Experience supporting OpenGrid Network, PragmaUP, or PragmaLINE environments

• Python scripting and automation experience

• Windows Server administration and support experience

• Experience supporting utility grid operations and electrical dispatch environments

• Experience supporting outage restoration workflows

• Experience with OMS implementations, upgrades, and modernization initiatives

• Experience working within large regulated utility organizations
