ACCOUNT MANAGER

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Freight Forwarder to support our global operations team. This role works with minimal supervision from the EVP and plays a key part in coordinating international shipments, communicating with clients and global agents, and ensuring all cargo moves efficiently and compliantly from origin to destination.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate global shipments by communicating with company's Global Agents and internal operational teams.
• Select appropriate carriers and routing options for assigned shipments.
• Calculate volume, weight, and dimensions using both metric and imperial measurement systems.
• Prepare freight quotations by determining accurate shipping costs.
• Create billing documentation for management approval.
• Provide responsive customer service via phone and email for all shipment-related inquiries.
• Handle and resolve client requests, questions, and issues in a timely manner.
• Monitor and follow up on shipments until final delivery is confirmed.
• Maintain and update client Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensure compliance with requirements.
• Assist with additional operations projects as assigned.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or a related role.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of international shipping regulations and documentation requirements.
• Familiarity with dangerous goods handling (DG certification a plus).
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
• A strong commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines, remain calm under pressure, and contribute positively in a team environment.

Education

• High school diploma required.
• Industry-related certifications (IATA, TSA, DG, etc.) are a plus.
